The Restaurant Committee is comprised of a minimum of one (1) Board Member and at least two (2) Chamber members representing the local restaurant, beverage, hospitality, and food-service industries. This committee serves as an advisory and collaborative group focused on strengthening the region’s dining sector and supporting restaurant members through advocacy, promotion, communication, and community engagement.
This committee works closely with Chamber staff to identify opportunities, address industry-specific challenges, and create initiatives that enhance visibility, drive economic growth in the Carefree/Cave Creek area. Meetings shall be held as needed.
Committee Responsibilities
- Act as a liaison between the Chamber and the restaurant community, providing feedback and identifying opportunities for industry support.
- Serve as a voice for restaurants on issues impacting the local business environment.
• Identify challenges facing local restaurants and work with the Chamber to address regulations, permits, and business support initiatives.
• Identify trends, challenges, and opportunities affecting local restaurants and provide recommendations to the Board of Directors.
• Develop initiatives that promote local dining, including restaurant spotlights, community promotions, themed events, and partnerships.
• Support Chamber efforts to market the region’s culinary offerings through campaigns, visitor resources, and local media.
• Encourage collaboration among restaurants and other local businesses to strengthen community connections.
• Provide recommendations on educational topics, workshops, or roundtables relevant to restaurant owners and managers (e.g., compliance, customer service, marketing, operations).
• Assist in securing restaurant participation in Chamber events such as mixers, expos, galas, and community activities.
• Serve as a resource for onboarding new restaurant members and helping them become active participants in Chamber programs.
Committee Expectations
- Attend committee meetings and participate actively in discussions and initiatives.
• Assist in developing promotional ideas and offering industry insight to support Chamber marketing efforts.
• Provide workshops, seminars, or resources on topics like food safety, marketing, customer service, and industry trends.
• Encourage partnerships among restaurants, suppliers, and the Chamber to enhance community engagement.
