The Events Committee shall consist of a minimum of one (1) Board Member, and at least three (3) Chamber members who are interested in promoting the activities of the Chamber.
These committees are responsible for working with staff liaisons on the execution of the assigned event. Each committee meets as needed. This working group plans and helps organize the Annual Celebration, Business Expo, Breakfasts, Mixers, and any other events that may arise including events proposed by the fundraising committee.
The Events Committee shall meet as deemed necessary, but no less than six (6) times per year.
With assistance from the staff, the board of directors, and the communication chair.
- Assist with selecting and securing a venue for the event.
- Determine a menu.
- Select all the items needed for the event.
- Coordinate the selling of tickets.
- Plan and create entertainment.
- Select awards.
- Organize an auction/raffle if applicable.
- Coordinate volunteers – as needed.
Produce a variety of quality programs and events that create positive revenues.
