This committee is responsible for participating in the Desert Foothills Leadership Academy (DFLA), which is a partnership between the Carefree Cave Creek Chamber of Commerce and The Holland Center.

The DFL Committee is comprised of the President/CEO of the Chamber, a member of the Board, and an optional additional member. All the DFL Committee members must also be approved and participating on the DFLA Advisory Board.

The DFLA Committee Chair will report on the activities (operational and marketing) to the Board of Directors. Their primary activities will be participating in the monthly planning meetings and the monthly workshop sessions. There may not be a need for this committee to meet outside the scheduled DFLA planning sessions.

To be a member of this committee, you must have completed the DFL Academy training and be invited to the DFLA Advisory Board.

  • Work with the Chamber and The Holland Center to develop a viable leadership academy.
  • Presents the activities that affect the Chamber and the members to the board monthly.
  • Assist in promoting the leadership academy to the chamber membership.
  • Review annually the chamber’s partnership with The Holland Center.
