The heart of our community beats stronger thanks to the dedication of our volunteers. Their generosity, time, and talents fuel the organizations and events that make the Desert Foothills region such a vibrant and welcoming place. Whether you’re passionate about helping others, supporting the arts, protecting the environment, or preserving local history, there are many ways you can make a meaningful impact.

Community Service Opportunities

The Carefree Cave Creek Chamber of Commerce invites enthusiastic Chamber members to join our dynamic team of Chamber Ambassadors. Volunteers help bring our events to life—ribbon cuttings, mixers, expos, and more—while building strong community connections. If you love meeting people and want to give back, we’d be thrilled to have you on board!

Foothills Caring Corps provides essential services to homebound seniors and adults with disabilities. Volunteers support independence by delivering meals, offering friendly visits, and providing transportation to medical appointments, grocery stores, and cultural activities.

The Foothills Food Bank and Resource Center is a critical safety net in our community. Volunteers are vital to operations, transporting and sorting donations, packing food boxes, and serving as outreach ambassadors. Your time helps ensure that no neighbor goes without support.

The Desert Foothills Volunteers is a centralized platform designed to connect individuals with nonprofit organizations, provide certified training, track volunteer credentials, and ensure a seamless experience for both volunteers and organizations.

Don’t Dump in Our Desert is a group of neighbors in North Phoenix that have partnered with North Valley Junk Removal to help tackle the task of unsightly illegal dumping in our desert in the North Phoenix area.

The Cave Creek Tourism Bureau serves as a welcome center and information resource for both residents and visitors, providing details on local attractions, businesses, and events.

Cultural Programs

The Holland Center offers numerous volunteer opportunities through its support of community enrichment programs, including the Desert Foothills Theater, Cave Creek Christmas Pageant, Foothills Film Society, and more.

Volunteers are also essential to the success of our beloved Desert Foothills Library and the Cave Creek Museum, where they assist with guest services, shelving books, staffing events, and keeping exhibits fresh and engaging.

For art lovers, the Sonoran Arts League invites volunteers to help with the annual Hidden in the Hills Art Tour and other exhibitions throughout the year.

These cultural efforts thrive because of volunteer passion—join us in keeping our local arts and heritage alive and thriving.

Connecting with Nature, Wildlife & Environmental Conservation

Support local conservation efforts by volunteering with organizations like Southwest Wildlife Conservation Center, Spur Cross Ranch Conservation Area, Desert Awareness Committee, and the Desert Foothills Land Trust. Help protect our beautiful desert environment and connect with others who share a love of nature.

If animals are your calling, Foothills Animal Rescue, Tierra Madre Horse Sanctuary, and Wild at Heart offer hands-on volunteer opportunities to work with animals, from horses and dogs to birds of prey.

Get involved today, your time can make a lasting difference!
