The Membership/Ambassador Committee is comprised of one (1) board officer who is the Ambassador Chair, and the members of the ambassador steering committee who are interested in supporting the Chamber’s membership development and overseeing the Ambassador program. No active board member can be an ambassador while serving on the board.
Chamber Ambassadors are exactly what the term implies. They help members fully realize the benefits of their membership. At the same time, Ambassadors also help the Chamber gain a better understanding of its members’ needs and how best to meet those needs.
The focus of the Ambassador Committee is to welcome new members and help them meet long-term members, bringing all members together to promote business-to-business relationships. Retaining members is also a huge part of the Ambassadors’ role.
The Ambassador Chair will form an ambassador steering committee comprised of themselves, the ambassador lead, the past ambassador lead, the co-lead, and at least one (1) other active ambassador.
The committee helps develop, implement, and assist with membership growth and retention efforts through outreach to existing and prospective members.
The Ambassador Chair is automatically on this committee by default. There is a comprehensive Ambassador Handbook that provides details of the entire Chamber Ambassador program, and it should be upheld by the Membership/Ambassador Chair and supported by the Ambassador steering committee.
