The R H Crossland Foundation is a 501c3 and was founded in 1998 by Rusty Crossland in honor of his mom and dad. From its inception, the vision and mission has been to build a legacy of giving back to organizations, communities, and families that share our founding values. From aiding the people of the slums in the Dominican Republic, to providing bionic walking devices for spinal cord injured men, women, & children, to the Downs Syndrome community, women’s shelters, floor victims, and families in need, we have continued our philanthropic efforts. Several years ago, Rusty began donating his more than 40 years of collecting historical documents and sports memorabilia to the Foundation and in 2014 opened a free to the public museum in Durango Colorado displaying his collection. Recently, the Foundation moved the museum to Carefree. With more than 500 documents dating from the 15thentury to modern times, the Founding Fathers, extensive Civil War archives, the Wild West, Space, Titanic, Little Big Horn, Kennedy assassination, along with more than 400 signed baseballs and other sports memorabilia, there is something for everyone. Come take a walk through history.
