Detailed Information

The Sonoran Arts League is a 501 (c) 3, nonprofit, volunteer-based arts service organization dedicated to advancing the arts, artists, and art education.

The League has two locations. The Gallery, located in Carefree, hosts six juried exhibitions each year, featuring diverse mediums from both internationally collected artists and emerging talent. Opening receptions for each exhibition occur on the 3rd Thursday of each month coinciding with Carefree Art Night.

The Studio, in Cave Creek’s Stagecoach Village, offers art classes taught by award-winning instructors in multi-faceted mediums. Grants from the Kiwanis Club of Carefree allow the League to host free classes for veterans and youth.

For the past twenty-eight years, the League has produced the annual Hidden In The Hills Artist Studio Tour, highlighting our member artists’ work. The Tour takes place during the two weekends before and after Thanksgiving in the scenic Sonoran Desert of Cave Creek, Carefree & North Scottsdale.
