Veterans Services Mobile Office

One-on-one assistance from a Veterans Administration Case Manager, with referrals to community-based organizations with funding assistance, as well as employment assistance, including: employment assessments, career guidance, job development and referrals to training and apprenticeship opportunities. No registration.

StoryKids on Tuesdays  

StoryKids with Miss Teri Children ages 2½ to 6, or those who have not yet entered kindergarten, are encouraged to join us for a 30-minute storytime featuring books, music, flannel stories and puppets. Each week there will be an activity of some kind that follows the stories. Some weeks it may be a movement or music activity, and other weeks will include an art activity. Siblings are welcome. Registration is not required.  

Spanish Session 3

Continuation for those who have taken our Spanish Session 2. Spanish classes are taught by Alina Lowen, a native speaker who has taught for 30 years. Class sizes are limited. Spanish Session 1

No knowledge necessary, or take this class as a refresher. Oral skills will be emphasized; students learn basic grammatical structures to communicate on everyday topics. Guided Meditation

Modern science continues to prove that meditation, an ancient and powerful technique, helps us deeply rest, connect to our inner selves and restore ourselves physically, mentally, and spiritually. In this practice, we lie on the floor with closed eyes and relax in the space just before sleep. Please bring a yoga mat or blanket to lie on, or you may sit on a chair for comfort. Climate Change and International Law

LIBRARY FEATURE EVENT Daniel Bodansky, a preeminent authority on global climate change, ASU Lincoln Professor of Law, Ethics and Sustainability, will discuss climate change and international law. He has worked extensively on the international climate change negotiations, as U.S. Dept. of State senior negotiator, consultant to the UN and the Pew Center on Global Climate Change.
