Multimedia Specialist CtL
Christ the Lord Lutheran Church, Carefree, AZ is looking for a Multimedia Specialist who can produce live streamed weekly Sunday services and other special events. In addition, we are looking for an individual who can create promotional graphics, a social media presence and maintain the Church website.
AVL Requirements:
- Need to be familiar with PTZ multi camera live stream system.CtL is working with a DataVideo system that includes a Dual Streaming Encoder, 6 channel video switcher and three PTZ cameras. In addition to the DataVideo equipment CtL has two Canon cameras that can be included into the stream setup if so desired.
- The audio board is an Allen&Heath 16 channel mixer that is integrated with an iPad. Current space can have up to 10 microphones during any given service.
- Services and special events are streamed through YouTube and the YouTube channel is embedded on the church website.
- Need to setup weekly live streams via YouTube.
Promotional Requirements:
- Edit and maintain WordPress website.
- Edit and maintain Facebook social posting and engagement.
- Create promotional material for events. This will include graphics to be used for the website, social media, handouts and posters.
- Create and maintain a marketing strategy to stay in front of current members and attract engagement from potential new members.
- Recruit, train and schedule church members or other volunteers to learn to operate the video and audio equipment required to assist when needed for services or other programs and special events.
This is a 20 – 25 hour per week position which can be accomplished both in person and remotely. The technician would work closely with our office administrator.

About Christ the Lord Lutheran Church (ELCA):
Christ the Lord Lutheran Church (otherwise known as “CtL”) is located in the town of Carefree, AZ approximately two miles east of the Carefree sundial, nestled in the serine desert landscape. Our church is a member of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America and actively partners with other local churches as well as multiple national, regional and local service organizations and non-profit organizations. In addition to church events, our property is utilized by multiple community groups, such as twelve step meetings and neighborhood associations.
About the Position:
We have just welcomed a new head pastor and are eager to embark on our next chapter of ministry together, building on the legacy of this joyful and welcoming faith community. The Administrative Manager will work under the supervision of our pastor and in collaboration with our Multimedia Specialist, Pianist, Organist and a number of highly-skilled volunteer leaders. Whoever fills this role will have the opportunity to contribute to the mission and ministry of this church, especially as we reshape our staff and administrative functions to meet the changing needs of our church and community. Position Details:
This is a 20/hour a week hourly, non-exempt position that pays $18/hour. Weekly hours vary depending on the season. Pay rate and some remote work options may be negotiated, depending on the individual candidate’s circumstances and competencies, and after an initial period of training and onboarding.

Reception Welcome and Hospitality
- Provide welcoming presence on behalf of the office. You are the host and every contact – physical, verbal, or written – members, strangers, guests and partners.
- Address requests/concerns/needs of members and guests as well as possible, provide service, refer as necessary.
- Set reliable office hours and be present, arrange for trained coverage or provide ample notification of changes. *These hours will be determined in collaboration with the pastor.
- Answer telephone, screen calls as necessary, provide information as able, and route calls. Be generally aware of staff schedules/availability and respond to inquiries accordingly
- Stay informed about the current church events and building schedule in order to provide accurate information and respond to inquiries.
Production of Worship Bulletins and Publicity
- Create weekly and seasonal worship bulletins, under the pastor’s supervision, and with input from area leaders and staff.
- Create hard and digital copies of worship bulletins for distribution and use.
- Oversee the maintenance of publishing/duplication hardware
- Produce materials necessary for CtL’s ministry, especially weekly bulletins, baptismal certificates, sign-up forms at this time, event fliers, etc.
- Work with Council, committees, and organizations to communicate volunteer opportunities
- Oversee volunteer sign-up ups, coordinating with area leaders
- Communicate with congregation and non-congregational user groups necessary calendar information
- Serve as primary contact with all user groups, including proper filing of request/approval of user groups
- Contribute to the production of communication and publicity, especially weekly e-newsletter, in cooperation with the Multimedia Specialist and the Pastor.
Manage Administrative Files, Accounts, Purchases and Records
- Keep master calendar of all CtL activities, including user groups and assigned areas
- Maintain telephone system, including updating welcome messages, information announcements, and personal voice message boxes
- Keep list of approved vendors and service providers
- Contact approved vendors and service providers as necessary
- Oversee administrative purchasing, including review requests, conducting research as necessary and purchasing. May include submitting reports to the church council or pastor.
- Knowledge of current budget, year-to-date budget, and budget forecasts
- Ability to use or learn to use current congregational financial record keeping software and ability to learn next generation software of same
- Maintain records of financial contributions to congregation
- Monitor and maintain stock of necessary office supplies.
- Coordinate training of occasional volunteers to help with administrative tasks when necessary.
Administrative Assistant to Pastor
- Serve as first line of communication with pastor, especially when absent from office
- Screen all contacts with pastor, short-stop if possible, determine if emergency, contact pastor in timely fashion on basis of contact, and keep records of all contacts
- Maintain records of pastoral acts (baptism, weddings, funerals, etc.)
- Prepare materials for pastoral acts
- Keep worship attendance statistics
- Maintain records of classes, materials, and attendees
- Maintain records of Columbarium and Memorial Wall, including transmittal of purchase of niche use letter
- Prepare Annual Congregational Report for congregation, in coordination with the pastor and board
- Prepare and submit yearly reports to the ELCA in consultation with the pastor.

Store Color Technician
$15.00 – $20.00 per hour
GENERAL PURPOSE OF JOB: The Store Color Technician is responsible for tinting and mixing paint and coatings to customer specifications. They ensure the expected color is produced correctly and consistently to set standards and process orders efficiently and timely. The Store Color Technician works closely with their team members to give excellent customer service. This is a non-exempt position.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Must have the ability to distinguish all colors in the visible color spectrum and achieve a passing score on the Farnsworth-Munsell Color Acuity Quiz that is administered during the job interview. A passing score is a requirement to be employed by Dunn-Edwards in the Store Color Technician role.
- With training, can consistently perform a color match with or without technology.
- Uses care and caution to avoid the mis-tinting of paint.
- Reclaims (when applicable) marked down paint.
- Must have the ability to mathematically compute various units of measure.
- Responsible for properly running all production area related equipment.
- Prioritizes and expedites all orders in a timely fashion.
- Responsible for basic housekeeping of the production area to meet company standards.
- Possesses the ability to write and process forms and transactions.
- Perform all duties as assigned by management.
- Actively participates in store maintenance and overall appearance of store and warehouse.

LANGUAGE SKILLS: For safety reasons, ability to read, write, and communicate in English is required. Must have ability to read, analyze, and interpret professional journals, technical procedures, and governmental regulations. Bilingual is a plus.
MATHMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent, and interpret bar graphs.
REASONING ABILITY: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Hospice of the Valley’s Dementia Care and Education Campus is opening in early 2022 at 44th Street and Indianola Avenue in Phoenix. This campus will be a place where people can live life to the fullest and receive exceptional care for all types of dementia. Hospice of the Valley is recruiting volunteers to support military families
A national program that matches people in communities across the country with veterans who need support is now available in the Phoenix area through Hospice of the Valley.
Volunteers who join the ASU-based program, called Legacy Corps for Veterans and Military Families, receive special training in caregiving support from Hospice of the Valley. They provide companionship to patients, socialization and in-home respite care that allows caregivers to take a much-needed break. In return, Legacy Corps volunteers receive a monthly allowance and a college tuition award after a year of service. Those who are 55 or older can pass this award to a child or grandchild.
