DESCRIPTION:The event welcomes the whole family\, from young children exploring nature for the first time to longtime desert residents. Jewel of the Creek Preserve is set on 26 acres of desert in northern Cave Creek\, and features mature saguaros\, mesquite forest\, and lush cottonwood and willow trees along the Cave Creek riverbed. Visitors can follow discovery maps through stations set up across the preserve\, try their hand at gold panning\, meet animal ambassadors up close\, and take part in interactive exhibits on local wildlife\, history\, and ecology. Activities are geared toward a wide range of ages and interests\, so children and adults alike can find something to enjoy. \nBeyond a day of activities\, Desert Discovery Day is about giving families a chance to unplug and spend time outdoors together\, away from daily routines and screens. It’s also a chance to learn what makes the Sonoran Desert unique\, and to see the conservation work of Desert Foothills Land Trust and its partners in action. Organizers hope it’s an experience families carry with them well beyond the day itself. \n“One of our goals with Desert Discovery Day is to help the next generation develop a love for the desert\,” said Raena Kamakahi\, President and CEO of Desert Foothills Land Trust. “When kids have the chance to explore this landscape firsthand\, they’re more likely to care about protecting it as they grow up.” \n

DESCRIPTION:The best in the southwest!\n\n\n\n\nThe Turquoise Circuit is part of The Circuit System devised by the Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association. The Circuit System\, the cornerstone of the PRCA\, is an integral part of the association. Every PRCA contestant belongs to a circuit and has an opportunity to advance to a national championship in the multimillion-dollar arm of the Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association. \nThe Circuit System affords opportunities to cowboys who may not have the circumstances that allow them to be on the road for thousands of miles a year. The responsibilities of home\, jobs or businesses require they spend more time in specific geographic location than they would be able to spend traveling across the country.  But make no mistake\, these cowboys are as good as they come. They also make up the majority of the PRCA’s membership. \nIn 1975\, the PRCA created a system that breaks up the United States into 12 circuits. The circuits include as few as one state\, such as the California\, Texas and Montana circuits\, to as many as 14 states – the First Frontier Circuit in the northeastern part of the country. In recent years Mexico and Canada have become circuits as well.

DESCRIPTION:The best in the southwest!\n\n\n\n\nThe Turquoise Circuit is part of The Circuit System devised by the Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association. The Circuit System\, the cornerstone of the PRCA\, is an integral part of the association. Every PRCA contestant belongs to a circuit and has an opportunity to advance to a national championship in the multimillion-dollar arm of the Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association. \nThe Circuit System affords opportunities to cowboys who may not have the circumstances that allow them to be on the road for thousands of miles a year. The responsibilities of home\, jobs or businesses require they spend more time in specific geographic location than they would be able to spend traveling across the country.  But make no mistake\, these cowboys are as good as they come. They also make up the majority of the PRCA’s membership. \nIn 1975\, the PRCA created a system that breaks up the United States into 12 circuits. The circuits include as few as one state\, such as the California\, Texas and Montana circuits\, to as many as 14 states – the First Frontier Circuit in the northeastern part of the country. In recent years Mexico and Canada have become circuits as well.
