Attendees will have the opportunity to learn directly from a wildlife professional about how these animals live in and adapt to the Sonoran Desert region and the broader Arizona landscape. \n“Black bears lead far more complex and interesting lives than most people realize\,” said Jeff Meyers\, presenter and biologist with the Arizona Game and Fish Department. “This is a great opportunity for people to learn how these animals actually live in Arizona\, and what we can all do to coexist with them responsibly.” \nThe lecture is part of the Sonoran Speaker Series\, an ongoing free lecture series. The series is designed to connect community members with the natural and cultural heritage of their Sonoran Desert home. It offers accessible educational opportunities for residents and visitors alike\, helping deepen their understanding of this unique desert ecosystem and its human history. \n

From visiting Santa and Mrs. Claus to meeting some very special four-legged guests\, Christmas for the Kids offers something fun around every corner. \nHoliday Fun for the Whole Family\nGuests can look forward to: \n\nSanta and Mrs. Claus\, ready to hear Christmas wishes and pose for those must-have holiday photos.\nA special photo opportunity with a camel and her adorable baby\, sure to become a family favorite!\nLive animal encounters featuring fascinating Arizona creatures.\nMiniature ponies ready to meet their young visitors.\nHayrides through the festive sights of Carefree.\nFree hot dogs and cotton candy to keep everyone fueled for the fun.\nFace painting\, balloon art and games for kids of all ages.\nHourly bicycle giveaways\, with more than 50 brand-new bikes raffled by age group throughout the day. Then he’ll get practical\, covering everything you need to start stargazing at home\, from choosing the right gear to finding a good viewing spot and knowing when to head outside. Whether you’ve never owned a telescope or you’re already tracking meteor showers\, there’s something here for you\, along with tips on what’s visible in Arizona skies throughout the year. Following the presentation\, volunteers from Focus Astronomy will set up professional-grade telescopes so participants can get an up-close look at the moon\, planets\, and other celestial bodies. \n“You don’t need a telescope or a science degree to get started\,” LeGore said. “Grab a blanket\, find a dark spot\, and see what you can spot. Some of the best astronomy happens with nothing more than your own eyes and a little patience. I want people to leave this talk excited to try it themselves.” \nThis event is part of the Foothills Speaker Series\, an ongoing free lecture series that connects community members with the natural and cultural heritage of their Sonoran Desert home. The series brings together experts from across the Southwest to share knowledge about desert ecology\, conservation\, and the natural world. \nThe event is free and open to the public\, but registration is required due to limited seating. \n  \n

DESCRIPTION:A Celebration of Western Heritage\n\n\nFor 50 years the sport of Rodeo has been alive and kicking in the Sonoran Desert. The Cave Creek Rodeo consists of a Parade\, Mutton Bustin’\, Rodeo Dances\, a Cornhole Tournament\, All Bulls\, All Night and three action packed days of PRCA Rodeo performances and more to round out a weeklong celebration of an Arizona town’s Western Heritage. \nWe use the proceeds of the rodeo to support charitable organizations throughout the Sonoran Desert and assisting the Town of Cave Creek with continued maintenance and enhancement of the Cave Creek Memorial Arena.
