Celebrated pianist Inon Barnatan is featured in Rachmaninoff’s Concerto No. 2, a work that established him as a major composer and remains one of his most enduringly popular pieces. To close the program, the Festival Orchestra performs a beloved work of the symphonic repertoire, Rimsky Korsakov’s Scheherazade. This exhilarating musical journey of love, intrigue and adventure prominently showcases nearly all of the Orchestra’s principal players.
