The Healthy Brain Expo II comes to the Desert Foothills.
Scottsdale, AZ, September 1, 2017: Foothills Community Foundation’s MindQuest Speakers Series is hosting The Healthy Brain Expo II: How to Keep Your Brain Young, Active and Strong on Saturday, October 28, 2017 from 9:00 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. at the Holland Community Center, 34250 N. 60th Street, Bldg. B, Scottsdale, AZ 85266. This half-day event is focused on positive aspects of engaging your brain to keep you young, active and strong.
This year’s Healthy Brain Expo II features nine stimulating educational and experiential workshops plus exhibit tables. Workshop topics include the relationship between good brain health and sex, understanding the impact of diet, sleep and exercise on brain health, hot topics on the brain; and, hear the science behind the brain and current research being conducted. Interactive experiential workshops introduce attendees to qigong and tai chi, reiki and hypnosis, and brain and body dynamics. Learn how to reduce stress and improve memory by integrating new strategies into your daily regimen.
Confirmed speakers are experts in their field and practitioners of alternative health therapeutic techniques: Glynnis Zieman, MD, Barrow Neurological Institute; Alexis McNeil, NMD; Kari Johnson, PhD, RN, ACNS-BC, HonorHealth Longevity Institute; Lindsay Thomas, RN, MSN, OCN, HonorHealth Longevity Institute; James Stoehr, PhD, Midwestern University’s College of Medicine and Health Sciences; Casey Erickson, MS, LAT, ATC, Barrow Neurological Institute; Paula Dieck, MSCCC-SLP, Judah Page, certified brain health coach; and, Bina Bou, Institute of Integral Qigong Tai Chi.
