Focus on World War II Series – Starts Jan. 13 and goes to Jan. 27 — 1:00 – 2:30
How would you like to look at World War II through three separate lenses? We have the privilege of offering a series of talks on Zoom by Award-winning author Jan Krulick, a museum and art consultant, and art and jewelry historian with nearly forty years of experience in these fields. In three separate lectures, she will be discussing the fate of Viennese artist Gustav Klimt’s famous portrait, The Lady in Gold, at the hands of the Nazis; her own father’s wartime experience as recounted in her award-winning memoir, Love, Bill; and an exploration of the period’s Sweetheart Jewelry craze and its contribution to the war effort. You can purchase the whole series at a savings ($25) or attend individual sessions ($10 each). Please register at: www.hollandcenter.org, and click on Lifelong Learning.
