Andrew Jackson, the seventh President of the United States, challenged nearly everyone he encountered. He was the first populous president of the United States. The political parallels of the presidencies of Andrew Jackson and Donald Trump, nearly 200 years apart, are worthy of note and will be discussed.  People either loved or hated Jackson but he is credited with creating the modern-day presidency.

Jim Sherbert will give us a look at the man who changed the presidency forever, reestablishing and perhaps saving the Constitutional Republic. He established the principle that states may not disregard Federal Law, a very timely issue. This talk will be in-person or available on Zoom.
