Nestled in the foothills of Carefree, comes your new favorite spot: Restaurant Confluence. Reimagined from chef Brandon Gauthier, the menu will still have a focus on fresh, and local but will be more of an elevated and modern cuisine. A casual lunch spot will turn in to a wonderful date night dinner place.
Where did the name come from? Chef Brandon enjoys fly fishing, which is where the name came from. Along with his wife, who will be running the front of the house, they felt the word Confluence had meaning for them. Two rivers coming together: they both trained for many years under Chef Binkley, and have now merged into one, making their own dream happen, having their own restaurant. Join them for a wonderful experience and amazing food.
At Confluence, we believe in serving up healthy options without sacrificing flavor. We have a cozy bistro interior as well as an open patio with mountain views: Chef Brandon wants to make this restaurant unique to the area, where you can order a la carte however it is meant to have multiple courses and tastings. The wine list will be worldly with a heavy by the glass section – so you can enjoy all of your favorites. As vegetables have always been a favorite of Chef Binkley, Chef Brandon will carry that tradition on as have many vegetable options available, many locally sourced.

Liberty Station, an American tavern and smokehouse will open this Feb. at 34522 North Scottsdale Road, Suite 180. Liberty Station is the latest culinary endeavor from Keeler Hospitality Group, who own Market Street Kitchen in DC Ranch and Spencer’s for Steaks and Chops in Omaha, Nebraska.
Open daily for lunch and dinner, Liberty Station will serve American comfort food with regional touches, including several nods to the Keeler family’s Boston roots. The bar at Liberty Station will offer vintage cocktails created in a very classic style, and local craft beers, plus a wide array of wine options.
Acclaimed Executive Chef Michael Hunn and Chef de Cuisine Dan Watts will head the kitchen. The pair has created a menu using many locally sourced ingredients, which include creative “shareable” appetizers, sandwiches, pasta and salads. Entrees will feature fresh seafood, steaks and chops. Liberty Station will smoke many of their high quality meats from Creekstone Farms on a custom made smoker (made by Camelback Smokers), prominently displayed on the west side patio of the restaurant.
