Desert foothills library ANNOUNCES PENDING RETIREMENT OF EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR
CAVE CREEK, Ariz., (March 2nd 2020) – David Court, the Executive Director of the Desert Foothills Library has announced his intention to retire at the end of 2020.
David has been Executive Director since August 2010 and led the organization through a remodel of the Library, the construction of an additional parking lot and an expansion of services provided to the community. “This is a wonderful organization and I shall be sorry to stand down from my current role. However, both my wife and I will be retiring in order to take advantage of travel opportunities and to pursue our other interests. I hope that, in the future, I will be able to play a role in the continuing success of the Library.
Robert Hindle, President of the Library Board of Directors, has said, “David has been both a visionary and exceptionally effective manager. In a sense, he is irreplaceable, but the Board understands his desire to retire”.
A search for a new Executive Director will commence shortly and a handover period will ensure that the Library has continuity of leadership.
