The importance of advocacy.

The Chamber is the primary voice of business in the community working with local and state policymakers on issues that improve our regions business environment.

While businesses are busy creating jobs and driving our economy, they deserve to have a strong voice representing them in public policy conversations. The Chamber puts the business community at the table, working alongside government officials and community partners on ways to eliminate barriers to economic growth.  We help public officials – and the public at large, when necessary – understand how businesses would be affected by particular policies and try to bring a fiscally responsible, community-minded perspective to policy negotiations.

Evcca logoThe East Valley Chamber of Commerce Alliance (EVCCA), founded in 1999, is comprised of more than 6,000 businesses and nine local chambers.  Their purpose is to provide coordination in the advancement of common business interests.

Each year, EVCCA produces a Legislative Report, which lists bills that have the most significance to East Valley businesses. EVCCA also produces a Report Card how each East Valley legislator voted on legislation relevant to the EVCCA.

Arizona Chamber Executives (ACE) is a nonprofit organization assisting chamber executives throughout Arizona to become informed, effective leaders in their communities. Through conferences, newsletters, networking, scholarships and an online resource library, ACE provides information, counsel and training to equip chamber executives as they face daily challenges in business, economic, social, political and educational arenas.

ACE provides a forum to enhance the professional development image of chamber executives and staff. It provides an avenue for all chambers across the state to work together on state, federal and local issues.
